Crete Misfit Society

'The Inbetweeners Movie'

So here we are, 3 very successful brilliant series of the Channel 4 comedy, which soared with critical acclaim and every school child and university student spouting quotes from it. It just worked. With the fantastic young cast and the writing of Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, it showed that fresh original comedy is still alive.
The hype has been unbelievable, understandably. It's a massive step to take for a hit Television comedy to make to jump to the big screen and be successful, as many have tried and failed.

So the boys - The Pussay patrol, Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas), Jay (James Buckley) and Neil (Blake Harrison) have now all finished school and decide to go on a lads holiday to the island of Crete, for in loudmouth Jays words "Sex, minge, fanny and booze". Whats to follow is a holiday you or I would never forget if we was on it.

Right, I enjoyed this. Which might surprise a few people. I think a lot of the jokes was very funny and not for the timid, So I wouldn't take my parents to see this.
The location with lots of young 'hip' holiday makers makes for a lot of embarrassing situations for our young social misfits, who long for the search of the ladies and to get hammered, just like everyone else who goes to places like that. Watch out for some of the most hilarious dancing you have ever seen.
The only thing I would say is that some of the jokes are a bit over the top, which leads to the question, was this a consciences decision by the writers to up the ante with poo and sick jokes?
Really it should have been written just like a normal extended episode in my view.

This will pull in big audiences, as the summer holidays are still on, and of the strength of the show, who'd want to miss out?
An enjoyable, but not classic comedy film. Go and see for yourself, and get your wellies ready to get knee deep in 'clunge'.
