This is no Crash Test Dummy.

'Drive'

Ryan Gosling is one of the fastest rising actors around, with the success of the romantic drama 'The Notebook', where he had a real life romance with co-star Rachel McAdams, Also he has been nominated for a best actor at the academy awards for the brilliant 'Half Nelson'. There seems to be no stopping this young talent.
In this, it pairs Gosling with Nicolas Winding Refn, previous directing credits include 'Bronson'.

In L.A. Gosling's Character just named 'Driver' or 'Kid' is a stunt man for the movies, and works for his Shannon played by the always brilliant Bryan Cranston of 'Malcolm in the Middle' and 'Breaking Bad' fame , in his car shop. By night Driver is a getaway man for robbers, thieves and just damn bad people!
Things go wrong when one heist goes wrong, which includes Drivers neighbor, Irene (Carey Mulligan) who he befriends and both kind of fall for each other, also her jailbird husband who is released and owes the people he used to dirty work for.

This movie is very very well done, well crafted story which keeps the viewer intrigued into where the story will lead. Ryan Gosling is a star in the making, with his slow rise to the top, which he hasn't reached yet, but he will, trust me. Director Nicolas Winding Refn has got a big talent to make a film look so cool and very watchable.
The Soundtrack had a lot to contribute to this movie, with it's 80's electro/indie feel to it just gave it another edge, which will make you want to go home and buy it off of Itunes, well I did.

There are a few ultra violent bits in this if you cringe a little bit at the sight of blood, don't let it put you off.

Simply go see this, definitely one of my favourite movies of the year. Just very cool and exciting.
This is why I love going to the cinema.
